Even though it is a Beretta, it has A8 steel and seems priced right for a "Loveless" user/beater.

That's the first I've seen of it- a classic & priced right. Looks like a nice knife as a user- it's a proven design & at a good price point you shouldn't be afraid to actually take it out & use it.

If you are not tickled by fancy stuff, this integrally molded checkered zytel handle knife will serve as a great user in your hand! While it doesn' t have the heft of a micarta handled model, it is very functional. The AUS steel is quite adequate. The high hollow grind allows a thin edge that can be resharpened with minimal effort. The thong hole allows for a lanyard. The leather sheath needs to go however. :( As it pretty much softened up after only a few weeks use. I had a vertical kydex made by Dozier Knives. Although the sheath may cost close to the price of the knife, it is now a fully functional package. Most of my fellow employees use mine as a "borrower" if it is laying on the shelf. My Dozier mades are always on my belt. ;)

Smoky Mountain Knives has them for about $45. They also offer a similar model with a semi skinner blade, another Loveless influenced knife. Both are very good values for working knives. If after using them, you want a fancier model, just send either off to Bob Dozier. And he will make you one. :)

they are nice. I love the natural handle ones, but of course they are more. These have been god. Paul

The quince burl handled models are a beauty! I recall a micarta and a stag model that may be floating around with some dealers. Haven' t seen any though.
