I like this gun, but what do you think about it?
Any idea on where I could get the specs on it?

I like it because it's small, and easy to correct when it misfires.

If you are looking for a Petite gun try a few more. The .22lr is notorius for misfires. If you are doing anything other than target practice ( which this gun is not) you will want a centerfire pistol.

Try looking at the:

NAA .32 and .380 little automatics. http://www.naaminis.com/

Kel-Tec .32acp P-32
http://www.kel-tec.com/

Hard to find Seecamp .32 acp

Or even the Beretta .32acp Tomcat.

I have a Kel-Tec and at about 9ozs it rides in my pocket great. I haven't had any problems with it Love it. I would'nt trade it for anything else.

Did you know that Beretta explicitly states that their gun should not be carried with a round in the chamber?

Actually it's not easy to clear misfires. The little Berrettas don't have an extractor, so if a round doesn't fire racking the slide will not remove it. You have to flip up the barrel, pull the cartridge out, close the breech, then rack the slide -- not something you want to do in the middle of a gunfight....

I don't think I know anybody who has a 21 (they're pretty pricey for a pocket .22.) Two of my friends have 950s and neither has had any reliability problems. Of course it's a .22 auto -- they all have to be cleaned frequently and they all tend to be a little finicky about what they eat -- but as long as you feed it premium ammo of a brand it likes and keep it clean you should never have a misfire.

I have one ,and feed it Stingers and would not hesitate to use it in time of real need as a "let go of me" type of unit.Very loud, belches flame, straight blowback with no extractor so low powered ammo doesn't cycle it well.I carry mine while on my tractor loaded with rat shot which won't cycle the slide so I pop a round, flip up the barrel which throws out the empty and cycle the slide to chamber another round. This all sounds more involved than it is but 7 rounds can be cycled fast enough to keep Mr. Water Moccasin's attention. It weighs in at 11 ounces and holds 7 in the mag plus 1 up the pipe, has reasonable sights, has a large enough grip to afford reasonable hold, and reloads quickly with an extra mag.If I was choosing between this and one of the micro-revolvers I would take the M21 hands down.

Ditto bgenlvtex. My Ber. 21A is 100% reliable no malfs EVER with about 7 or 8 boxes of Stingers through it. Even sounds like a serious gun!

Berretta 950 and 20 are also superb pocket guns, but .25 acp. Had very good luck with Iver Johnson TP22 also.

My Keltec P32 broke its mainspring while riding in a pocket holster in my pocket. Just a spring, i know, but i don't carry it anymore all the same.....

You're right, the 950 is only in .25ACP. The ones my friends have are both .22s. I can't keep all those model numbers straight any more.... :footinmou

Actually, I am only kinda right. You can find older production 950b and a few 950bs in .22 short, but they only hold 6 rounds in the mag not 8, shoot a lighter bullet and in my experience (I have owned 2 of them in the past) are very very very ammo sensitive. One that i had worked fine only with CCI High Velocity shorts, the other never worked right with anything, and Beretta would not even agree to let me send it in for them to try and look at nor sell me spare springs and firing pins for it.

An easy way to help keep the smallest recent Berretas straight; if it is double action then it is a 20 (smaller grip, 950 size gun with a straight backstrap) .25 acp or 21A (larger grip, arched metal backstrap) .22lr or .25 acp.

If it is single action then it is a 950(b or bs) and in .22 short or .25 acp. All models except the 950b can be carried cocked and locked (they are pre-68 and have no thumb safety but they do have a half cock notch IIRC).

None have firing pin safeties so they should probably be carried in a pocket holster at least to reduce the chance of them being dropped.
