Berry Bountiful Bushel!

Hi Everyone,

My buddy and I went looking for Wild Raspberries today and scored big. 12.5 lbs big! Here are some pics of a bucket that weighed in at 6.5 lbs. Wild Reds, Blacks and a few true Wild Blackberries. My neighbors will be happy when I share the booty....half will go to them....the rest are mine....dehydrating most of them....the other will be devoured quickly.

nice haul bob. i was in NC last week when i found some i started with 1 cup and before i knew it i had finished 4 of them nothing beats fresh berries
 
nice haul! i was out mountain biking today and only saw a handful of wild blackberries. there were a lot more of 'em two weeks ago. i guess someone beat me to them.

Man, I remember the good ol' days sitting in Paul Bunyan State Forrest in the burn areas picking at blueberry bushes so thick you could constantly grab handfulls for an hour straight without moving... Then Grandma would pull out the old scandinavian berry pie recipe for post-Mississippi Walleye dinner...
 
I just planted 3 bushes of a thorn-less variety.# U of Hawaii#
I cant wait until next year !
i haven't eaten one in 6 years :grumpy:
