since Carl's generous gift of the Bertram stockman, I have found that these things are a little like salted macadamias, in that you can't have just one. This is a large whittler, I had never seen one like it, apparently made during AGR's reign, it was a SFO for the directors of Jack Daniels, and the scales are made out of bourbon barrels
Like the stockman, it has a lovely long flowing form,
camoflauged against the background:
everything is polished, including the insides
the blades are very beautifully ground, very thin, with nice drawn swedges, unfortunately the pristine polish has now has a couple of little scratches thanks to me opening and closing the blades. There is also a slight burn at the end of the main blade, I don't know how to get rid of that, or if it affects the temper. I think this will be a shelf queen anyway.
