Just what the topic says.

Requirements:
My requirements:
-Thumb stud
-pocket clip
-3.5-4" blade
-tanto, drop or spear point
-at least 1/8" thick, thicker is even better

Id like it to have some kind of matte black finish.

Im not too picky on steel for this one, anything tough, easy to sharpen, with good edge retention is fine.

This will be a replacement for my Gerber AR 3.50. The new one will probobly recieve some abuse. The only knife I have in mind right now is the CS recon 1.

Im on a tight budget right now, eventualy I'll scrape up enough pocket change for a Strider. :)

Sorry if this has been asked already, once again the search wont work for me.

Hmmm.

SOG Flash?

I know a good one but it has a beadblast finish:
Timberline Wortac - fantastic knife!

.

If you don't mind holes:

Spyderco Endura
SOG Autoclip
both good knives that I'm a fan of.

I don't know what Kershaws fit the description but you might try them.
If you ebay, I bet you could find about a million CRKT (Columbia River) knives that fit the bill.

Scrape up just a few more dollars and you could get a Spyderco Native with a CPM-S30V blade. It would fit all of your criteria other then the blade being just a tad under 3.5 inches.

Camillus Heat
Kershaw Blur (this might be just a bit over your budget)

I have both but Blur hasn't seen much use because it's not convenient for some of my daily cutting chores. But tactical-wise Blur is good.

I got a CRKT Crawford KFF Professional for ~$35 from Ebay. Based on the $500 Crawford KFF, it's definitely a strong tactical folder. The Pro model has Aus8 steel, an upgrade from the base model Aus6.

Two Kershaw Black Vapor IIs ? Seriously, they fit all your criteria and they're cheap - you can get two for $50. AUS6M steel is a tad on the soft side but unless you're hunting sharks or gators this is of little relevance

I have high hopes for this one:

I know the g-10 version is an awesome tactical knife. I have a couple of the lite versions ordered.

That new Wegner lockback locks very promising.
Sort of a like a heavier-duty Spyderco Centofante III.

Camillus EDC.

Designed by Darrel Ralph, frame lock, great size and shape for most EDC tasks, hence the name. Also available in 154-CM for just under $50.

Isn't that the 440C version of the Pro Hunter.... neat. Good design I hear (still looking for a Mouse II :D).

The Emerson Hardwear line is a decent line. They can be had for around 50 on ebay. I like the Spyderco native. I paid 30ish for mine at a gun show.
