best 6k waterstone?

Im looking for the "best" 6k waterstone preferably able to sharpen harder steels like HSS and softer steels like White steel. There are so many options so I would like to narrow it down to 1-2 stones.

The knifes will be white steel or blue steel. Chisels I will be using are Semi HSS steel. Wanting to get a 1k and 6k stone for the above tools. Must be able to sharpen quickly, stay flat longer and create a sharp edge. Im willing to sacrifice feel of the stone if it can increase the sharpening speed and the length it will stay flat.

1k: The stone that I get recommended that apparently outdoes the competition is the 1200 sigma select II in all areas. Can sharpen HSS and white steel(?) without issue.

6k: Sigma Select I (Not II as it has been sold out and not been in stock for a long while) is this as good as the 1200 sigma select II?

Which stone in the 6k range would you say is the preferred stone based on my needs? 50-65 dollars.

You have several threads on waterstones now but still the same questions.

Best 6k stone? Arashiyama

Best stones for wood working tools? Shapton pro

I again, recommend the Shapton pro 1k and 5k.

I've used the sigma stones, it's why I'm recommending the shaptons.

thats true I'm very OCD when it comes to tools. :D my needs changed slightly so I'm looking for a very specific stone.

shapton pro 5k can outdo every other stone in the 5k-6k range? Only looking into Hss and carbon steels and flatness of stone overtime plus sharpening speed.

Yep, for your needs you would have a very hard time getting better than a set of shapton pros. Very hard but with good feedback these stones wear slowly and cut extremely fast. There were made for chisel sharpening.

Any stone in 5-6k range that is splash n go or perma soak that you have used before that you could recommend?
