Best angle for flat side?

After beating my Busses and sharpening them a few times (just to do so), and reading all the sharpening facts provided through the search function, I've not come up with what angle (or best angle) should be maintained on the flat side.
 
According to Jerry (and my personal experience, 20-21 degrees. Hope this helps.

Edge angles should be set just obtuse enough to be functionally durable. Try lowering yours and see what happens. If you are just cutting rope and such you can go very low. My light use blades are in the 20 degree included angle range with very thin edge widths. Don't want to chop bones with that though.
