One of our grinder guys, Mongo, just set a new Busse Combat ash record with a length of 2 13/16" That's over 2 3/4" long. . . No cheat wires inside to support it, just pure tobacco goodness at 4:30 in the morning!!!! :thumbup:

The stick was an Isla Del Sol by Drew Estates. . . . .

Killer job Mongo!!!

Congrats to Mongo

As this is the middle of the night shouldn't this post go in the Swamp ptuey?

I thought that the rats ran the place at night ptuey.

You guys never really sleep, do you? :D

Nice ash!!! :thumbup:

They are runnin' . . . we're smokin' . . . . :thumbup:

Jerry

.

Got it, I had always thought that ya'll cleared out when the rats (ptuey) showed up. I guess you gotta stick around to make sure that they are working' and not just walking off with all the cheeze.

Sleep is completely overrated my friend . . . and yet here you are posting at 5:00am. . . hmmmm. . . . looks to me like you fit right in. . . . . I have lots of cigars. . . we'll hold one for you. . . .

We're going for a longest ash contest right now with the winner getting a $1,000.00 prize!!!!. . . or a killer compound bow. . . .

This ought to be fun. . . . .

We'll keep you uprised of the situation as it unfolds. . . .

Jerry

If I had known in advance there was going to be a contest, I would have sent in my ringer. :D

This is the third post in a row with proper spellin' and puntuation. I think either someone has hijacted the Boss's account or the shop may be out of Scotch.

Either one is pretty scary.

Now, is Mongo going to have to tap that bad boy off intact, or are ya'll measuring on the cigar?

just how old is Mongo? What 14, 16 tops?

This looks like Jerry's stooping to child labor.

Been talking to Kathy Gifford, huh?

The final results are in. . . We started with 7" long cigars. . ..

Mongo = 4 3/4" ash

Beef Stew = 5 1/4" ash

Myself = 6" ash

Yep, Once again. . . Old age and treachery defeats youth and skill . . . . . ..

I'm pretty sure that I'm at least 4 different shades of green at this point. . . .

Time for bed my friends. . . .

Where's my scotch????. . . .

Ahhhhh. . . there you are my old scottish friend!!!!

Let's Drink!!!!

Jerry :D

I can understand why you blokes smoke cigars...last time I was in the states I found it so hard to find a decent brand of cigarettes and had to settle for Malboro lights after my usual ran out! I must say I was happy to return home to a packet of aussie winfield grey ;) ....

Cigars and cigarettes are two completely different animals. Some of the best cigars in teh world are scarf'd up here in the US. (No, I'm not talking Cubans - PLENTY of amazing non-Cuban cigars out there.)

So are we getting some sort of ASH ASH-1 for this event??? Commemoration or something? (I get #1 for thinking of it! LOL)
