Best assisted american made Kershaw flipper?

Hello, I've been considering getting a good EDC. I've looked through some Kershaw knives, but none of the big names (Blur, etc) seems to have all requirements. I am new to the knife scene and could have very easily missed them though.

The knife needs to be:
Spring assisted
Made in the US, and
Have a flipper.
- Prefer a thin but heavy knife.
- Would like to have a pocket clip.

Not sure on the price range yet, just exploring my options. A nice steel is a plus as well, however that's not as big as a deal for me. Think you can help me out?

The Knockout comes to mind first and it fits all your criteria other than it's not what I would call a heavy knife. The Zero Tolerance 0350 would also fit all your wants. By belt clip your mean pocket clip right?

Oh and welcome to Bladeforums! Your wallet is in trouble now though as it's really hard to buy just one knife or 2 or 3.... :) Can't go wrong with Kershaw/Zero Tolerance either.

No matter how many knives I get I still enjoy the Leek, it's by no means a heavy use folder, more of a gentlemen's folder, it's thin, very useful and fits most of your criteria although you didn't specify size. It's on the smaller side of the Kershaw line, also comes in a great variety of steels from acceptable to pretty high end. Good luck on your hunt!

Thanks jkulysses :)! And believe me I already know, I've been throwing money at cheap cool looking crap >.<.

Blownnova, I was considering the leek, however the size and blade shape did come up as a problem. I'm looking for something I can on occasion "hack" with, if need be. I've heard a lot of good things about it though, might put it "on my list" for the future ;).

ZT0300 series meets all criteria except thin

ZT0350 series - a little thinner but smaller and not quite as heavy as the 300 series as well

ZT0550 series - not spring assisted or as heavy as the 300/350 series but seems thinner....

The 0566 will be a good fit for you. However, we probably won't see that until at least August. Check out the Kershaw Piston.

I would start with a composite Leek. Small enough that you don't notice it clipped to your pocket. I also suggest you take a better look at the Blur. You are missing out.

I like General Ulysses's idea of the Knockout. It has all of your criteria (though "heavy" is subjective I guess), and is Powernoodle approved. I agree also with Mistress Nutnfancy's contention that the Knockout benefits with the application of a little skateboard tape to improve pocket extraction. But its thin, "heavy" enough, has a sweet, deep clip, strong flipper, decent 14C28N stonewashed steel with good belly, and is USA made.
