I'm looking for an assisted open knife, with a blade length of 3-4 inches, i also want it to be pretty tough. i also want it to be about 60$
i was looking at these ones:
SOG Flash II
Kershaw Blur
Kershaw Blackout

what would be the best choice of these? or if theres any better ones in that price range ill take a look at them also

thanks

I'll vote for the Blur. I love mine, even used it to field dress an elk (and that takes a long lasting edge).

The Camillus Heat is a great AO in that size and price range, in fact probably my favorite. Camillus has closed down and they are getting hard to find, but you still can find them on ebay. Not for long however.

The Heat is great and so is the Blur....Kershawguy has blurs cheap in the exchange section

I handled the Blur at a local retailer and was quite impressed. The assisted action was fast and smooth, and the knife felt very well built and sturdy.

SOGs seem to get mixed reviews, but I quite liked the small Twitch I handled at the knife store. It had a flipper, but it worked more like a button. I just gave it a gentle push and the AO would take over. I think it's about as close to a real auto as you can get.

I have a twitch and blink, and they both open quick and lock up tight.
I don't have a Kershaw yet, but I'm fixin' to get a groove.

If you're looking for a well priced, well made AO then my vote would be for the Kershaw Avalanche. This coming from a guy who just bought a BM 670, but the fact is the Avalanche is great value for the money.

Kershaw Blackout was my first Kershaw and first AO. I still have it and is one of my "goto" knives when I head outdoors. A little beat up but still functions perfectly and after a few strokes on the Sharpmaker, sharp as ever. I've had this knife for about 6 yrs or more. I give it an enthusiastic Two Thumbs Up!.

If you are I'd look at SOG or Camillus and skip the rest. Kershaw makes a good knife but they won't get any of my money so long as the clips/ thumb studs are right handed only. Same goes for Buck. Maybe I'm just a bitter southpaw.
