Hi folks

I apologize in advance if this has been discussed before, but searching didn't really yield the results I wanted.

Basically, I'm looking for the hawk equivalent to a Gränsfors Wildlife/SFA. Something in the ~$100 or less range. I've got the Wildlife Hatchet, but I think it's kind of chunky for what I use it for and would like to see what the hawk world has to offer. Perhaps I'll be disappointed, perhaps not, but I've always liked hawks :D

I don't foresee any huge amounts of throwing or the like, mainly just to cover whatever my 3-5" fixed blade won't. ~15-20" OAL, pref a nice carbon steel similar to what GB uses and a small portion for hammering. I would dislike to have to modify the hawk prior to use as a lot of people seem to be doing with the $20 hawks so a nice head/shaft fit would be great. Perhaps in the future I'll be up for spending some time modding it to my preferences, but at this point I don't really feel up to the task.

So, where should I be looking?

Thanks

Wolf Creek Forge, is where I would start. They are here on Bladeforums, Kentucky and Lisa make great looking, wood chopping tomahawks.

Do they have a hosted knifemakers forum? I can't find 'em. I found their website though, not much pricing info it seems.

BIG +++ 1

Here's one Lisa did for me. Her quote was very reasonable for the quality of this custom hawk.
