Any suggestions on the best GPS would be appreciated. My only two must haves is lifetime map updates and decent volume.
Thanks!

After many years of GPS experience, I only buy Garmin GPS units. Reliable, durable, competitive price/feature ratio, and excellent warranty service should something malfunction.

Volume? I don't believe any of mine have sound.

Are you talking about a GPS for driving? Lincolns have a pretty nice GPS built right into the dash. :D

Yeah, a Garmin Nuvo w/lifetime maps and streets. Cost about $65 if you look around!

I will second the Garmins. I used a Nuvi 750 for years and upgraded about a year and a half ago to a Nuvi 3590 LMT. I love the new 3590. It has a 5" screen, lifetime map updates, live traffic updates that have helped me avoid accidents on the highway. You can download extras. I actually have my voice as Yoda. Sounds dumb but it makes me laugh when I am out on the road. It is a super unit. The face is capacitive glass instead of the plastic faces. Good stuff.

I picked up a Garmin Nuvi 40 from Staples on clearance last week for $48. Might want to check out your local Staples.

I'll check out the one in El Paso, how do you like it?
Thanks for the suggestions guys,I'll be needing one to navigate the concrete jungles of California.

It's awesome. The 40 lacks traffic, but I don't care as that stuff is usually behind anyways. If you need a simple navi unit that will get you where you want to go, it's hard to beat a Garmin, especially on clearance haha.
