Best Becker?

kind of an open-ended question, but the 16 or 17 are quite versatile in that they are large enough to baton wood but small enough that you can do a lot of bushcraft tasks and food prep quite easily. of course, they won't chop very well. you can chop and do a lot of things with a 9 but it's large and not as useful for fine work. the 7 is a little more manageable than the 9 but isn't as good a chopper and still not quite as nimble as the 16/17.

it all goes back to the user and what kind of activities in which you envision using the knife.

check out the becker subforum and you'll hear all about all the different models.

A tough question, because the range is so wide. The obvious answer is the 16 or 17, but I didn't like them so I struggle to talk them up. The 11 and 14 are too small to really hit the versatile tag although very capable in their own right, but the 7 and 9 are probably too big as well.

If I could only have one Becker to take into the woods with me, and no other blade, I think I would take the BK-7, with the 14 coming in second.
