Made by Belgian knifemaker Tim Wagendorp. (not mine, pic by Tim)

As some of you know french fries is a bit of a "National" food in Belgium. I always wondered why they are called "french fries"? By rights they should be called "Belgian Fries"!

Anyway, Tim Wagendorp designed an essential tool for eating this speciality. French fries are sold in every Belgian village in a so called "frietkot" or "frituur" (see pic below)

Reasons enough for me to make an essential survival tool. Here I introduce you to my new "BEST" model. BEST = Belgian Extreme Survival Tool

Specs:
- selectively hardened
- 320 layers "monster" damascus
- Sheath-> still in doubt between a kydex neck-sheath or a nice ray-skin sheath.

mind you the beautiful fork is very apt

Yes I know how small those forks are LOL. I was just wondering if Tim made it that small, because that would be even better!!

I love that. I never thought fries could get better, but I was wrong.
 
Saturday I received my "BEST".

The set consists of the BEST, a shark-skin "dress" sheath, a black plastic "trainer":D and a tactical kydex neck-sheath.

LOL. Classic. If you saw how many frite stands, waffle shops and places selling ridiculously good beer and chocolate there are in a typical Belgian town, you would think that Belgium should lead the world in cardiac disease. What a way to go, eh?:D
