I finally decided to order one of this cheap Harbor Freight Bandsaws. I know the blade that comes with it will not do the job. Can somebody recommend a bi-metal blade that could cut 3 /16 - 440c stainless steel without any problem  How many number of teeth and how thick is best

Lennox bi-metal some of the knife supply houses sell is a good one.
I like DieMaster II from MSCdirect.com. It's made for taking abuse from twisting and I get fewer teeth chipping out. On 1/4" or thicker, I use 14tpi, under that I use 18tpi. If it's really thin stuff, I use 22-24tpi.

18 TPI is the best all rounder, most of those machines run 64 1/2" x 1/2" blades. Don't forget to run your new blade in on some brass, 1/4" or thicker. Half a dozen inch long cuts should be enough. Very few people do this even though it is recomended by most band saw suppliers.

Thank you guys for the help and advice. This is the first time I'll do stock removal method. I plan to use the bandsaw to profile the blade into shape and to save abbrasive belts

I recommend ordering .020 thick blades. Stay away from .030. The kerf
will be 1.5 as wide and it will require x1.5 amt of power or time.

Enco has an excellent "Aggressor" BM blades on sale for $12. If shipping
doesn't kill it for you. For me, math is as follows: order $21 blade from McMaster, get it next day for $4 in shipping charge.

Or order $12 blade from Enco and pay $16 for shpping. Get it 4 days later :)

Enco being owned by MSC, I dunno why they don't use their distrib warehouses :(
