What do you reckon is the best/biggest knife show?

I am planning a visit to the U.S. and would like it to coincide with a knife show or two, if possible!:D

Any suggestions?

You'd best be coming to Atlanta around the middle of June then. Blade show rules.

+1 on the Blade Show.

This will be my 4th consecutive Blade Show. It beats all others hands down.

It's gonna be a long 3 months.

Blade

You've got to be there to believe it. June 16-18 at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta, GA.

for some reason, I don't thik that there will be too many arguments in this thread. Better start looking into tickets to Atlanta.

Anyone have any suggestions for the San Francisco area? Which shows come around this way?

The only knife show on the SF Peninsula that I am aware of is the Bay Area Knife Collectors Association show in August in Palo Alto. There is also a show in Solvang (near Santa Barbara) sponsored by Nordic Knives in April.

The two big west coast shows are the OKCA (from what I hear, not as good as it once was) in Eugene, Oregon on April 14-15, 2007, and Blade West in Portland, Oregon on Sept 15-17, 2006.

The Wannemaker (spelled wrong I'm sure) gun and knife show in Tulsa is a very big show that seems to attract people from all over the world. I believe it takes place this April.

Another vote for the Atlanta Blade show. This year will be my fifth consecutive year

What Waynorth said.

Eugene show, happens once per year, coming up next month, was exciting, interesting and friendly for this first-timer last year.

OKCA members, who are everywhere and at your service, are talented, warm and capable. Bot an EdgePro from a knife maker/teacher, who skillfully demonstrated it for me and others (Bronk). Got a bargain on a perfect Gerber-Emerson Alliance from a knowledgeable vendor. Saw collections of blades that blew my away (evolution of Sykes-Fairbanes daggers). Met a local maker of extremely robust stilletto autos (his opened attache case full of his latest work glowed like it was full of radium). Will be there next month in cool Eugene with the Mackenzie River running thru it.

Best,
