Well yesterday was my 42nd bday and it was pretty darned great
I got to spend time with nearly everyone that I wanted to see or hear from. All of my immediate family most of my close friends and I got some cool stuff. My wife got me an American history book printed in 1863. I was kinda afraid to open it at first but once I did I couldn't put it down, really fascinating read. My daughter got me an antique coffee mill. Not as old as the book but close I think.
A special thanks goes out to Blindhogg. He sent me one of his pocket skinners with a note saying it wasn't his "best" work and declining payment of any kind. He didn't know it was my bday but I'll take whatever blessings I can get. And by the way I can't find anything wrong with the skinner. It's better than anything else I have for skinning and fits in my pocket better than my old wallet.
We are heading out to see my Mom here in a bit so I know that means German chocolate cake and homemade tamales!!! It doesn't get any better than that!!!!
