Freaking out right now! My first custom shop knife ever. Totally unexpected birthday present from my wife. Don't know how to carry this without being paranoid, but I'm gonna have to get over it in a hurry. So in love.

Sambar stag, S30V, brass, with finger grooves.
 
Man that is one good looking piece of stag on that 110, also great combination--- this color of stag handles and brass bolsters. She definately is a keeper.---wife too. LOL

Thanks bucks. I'm a big fan of brass and stag. Yeah... I think I'll keep em both. Only one of em is going on hunting trips though. lol
 
Tracks, first off ... Happy B-day... Wow, that's a sweet custom 110... I love Stag handle Buck knives... What a Beautiful knife... Can we see the other side of it...

Oh man, that is beautiful. Happy Birthday and congrats. Funny thing is, I was considering getting myself the very same combo for my upcoming 40th b-day, except I was going to go with the nickel bolsters. Seeing yours, I am thinking that Sambar matches-up better with brass. Now I am just not sure... back to the on-line "build it yourself page"... Congrats again; your wife has great taste.
 
Thanks Early and Aias for the bday wishes! Yeah.. I'll post some more pics as soon as I have a chance. From what I've seen on the board it seems like most prefer nickle silver. I suppose maybe because it's a bit harder to find in a 110, and it does look great but for some reason I've always liked brass.

Beautiful knife. Definately a keeper. Planning one fro my 50th as well. Can't decide on the stag or rams horn. I myself am a fan of the brass bolsters. You are blessed with a woman that has an interest enough to plan such a beautiful gift.
 
She obviously loves you alot. Really a beautiful 110. You are a lucky guy and I am sure very deserving.

Thanks a lot for the birthday wishes and great comments fellas. Sorry about the lighting...here's a photo of the other side. I've carried an Alaskan Guide Rosewood 110 for the last couple of years and loved it but always regretted not getting back into 110s soon enough to pick up one of those stag AGs from Cabelas. Didn't think I'd own a custom stag 110 for a good while, so it's been a huge, pleasant surprise.
