Alright, it's been decades of thinning and adding to the herd. I have finally gotten the blades that fit me best. I'm a sheep rancher on horseback and carry a blade one way or another everyday.
1. Hinderer for daily carry
2. is a Busse Game Warden for jugular cut at butcher and over all piecing out and fleshing hides (shared with a small, super sharp Bark River necker that I forgot to add in the pic, best $60 I spent for a blade)
3. Busse Badger for daily belt carry and gets the most use. Probably the best blade I have ever owned.
4. An old Randall #1 in 8 inch that I just can't get rid of that I carry sometimes when camping during summer pasture, but I miss my Badger.
5. A Rat Rucki is the sleeper of the bunch that gets sashed on the saddle and stays with me and my bedroll. I consider this my side arm now that here in Sweden there are no guns to be had for law abiding citizens. My trusty single action Ruger that was on my belt at all times resides with my family back in the States.
After all these years I can honestly say that I don't dig stainless steel blades. I have tried and tried, but I'll take rust/patina and easy of sharpening over a blade that tolerates moisture, but is a complete pain in the ass to get moderately sharp. Carbon and it's ilk, A2 etc, is just a few swipe and it's ready to go.
Be good my friends.
