Best bowie knife AGC 2021

Hello everyone, i would like to present you my most recent bowie knife, it won as the best bowie knife at AGC (gaucho bladesmtih association/Brazil) show in december 2021.
Its a gambler bowie style, with almost 8" blade made in damascus, the pattern is called DAMERO wich has a unique shine!
The coffin handle is giraffe bone with a damascus frame and silver domed pins, the ferrule has two 24k gold inlays.
Sheath in cow leather and ostrich details.

Great looking knife, however I must ask. Why do modern makers leave out the escutcheon? When it adds SO MUCH style and appeal to a handle. Sheffield knew this 200 years ago. Now modern makers forget or have never studied the masters of old.
