What's the best box cutter spyderco makes? Not including anything that used disposable razor blades if they make one. Right now I like my ladybug hawkbill. I keep it on a table near our front door to open packages.

The Delica wharncliffe isn't out yet, but it definitely gets my vote, if you can wait.

Based on the video that Jazz made, I would have to go with the wharnie Delica too. Either that is a great tool or Jazz is a cardboard ninja...possibly both.

Yojimbo 2

I think the Domino in CTS-204p is the best in my lot. That tall 3mm blade stock and thinness behind the edge makes it super slicey. In saying that another answer could be what ever spyderco is in your pocket as they all perform very well.

From my own use over the years I would say the Military, in my job I used to cut a lot of cardboard.

That said the new Military in S110V is a cardboard monster from my testing.

The PARA 2 should be the same, just smaller.

I was going to say dragon fly

For the following reasons

Smaller blade will work fine
When it gets dull it's less blade to sharpen
When you pull out your dragonfly no ones eyes bug out and step back
When you bust up the blade on some copper staples it's just a dragonfly

Just a few ideas

I saw a similar thread a while back where Sal sugested one of their fully serrated kitchen knives like the Spyderco K05SBK for breaking down boxes. I have myself also found serrated edges to work better for cardboard. I use the fully serrated edge on my Leatherman wave for box cutting.

My suspicion is cardboard ninja, however I'd expect it to be easily one of, if not the best due to the combination of size and blade shape.

I'm sure any of the FFG knives will fly through cardboard - I know the Delicas do, but I really like the wharnie. I just hope I'm not the only one. Even my Salt 1 worked well when freshly touched up.

I will have to say the S110V Military as well.

It cut exceptionally well before, but after the regrind I did it is UNSTOPPABLE.

I'd say Military with it's 4" FFG blade with alot of distal taper, and the large handle also helps.

o-kay! i'm going to say that the gayle bradley 1) is my best for chopping down cardbord boxes, its handle makes for true gripping power with out ripping my hand up!and the M4 steel works outstanding.
