Best carry option for a handle heavy knife

Happy new year everyone! I'm still at the stage of trying to work out my formula for the ideal carry option for various types of blades. The current one that I am stuck on is a mid sized grip heavy knife. So ~7 inch blade that has a heavier balance biased towards the handle either due to the use of pommel, bolsters or simply due to the lack of skeletonisation of the tang. I tried to do a horizontal carry but that made the carrying rather uncomfortable due to the tendency for the weight of the grip to tug the belt down. I am starting to think that for this particular type of knife it may be best to do a drop sheaths but are there any other comfortable carry options available for this particular type of knife?

Thank you very much for your help! :)

Thank you Dave :)

So you've gone around the weight issue by putting the belt hole high up so it supports the handle using the belt. That's a really clever way to go around the issue... Thank you again I'll give that a go for my next sheath! :)

This sheath has been doing daily rough duty for acoupe of years now from Alaska to Nevada. Still going stong. The owner did tell me it was about a 2 month break in period as I used 8-10 oz leather due to the size of the knife and also I knew it would be well used. You're welcome!

Actually that reminds me I need to buy some 12 oz latigo leather for the more robust projects! Thanks for your help again! :)
