OK, this is kind of a spill over from the CQC6 thread. As I said in there, I like the CQC designs, mainly the 5,6, and 7, but I'm not willing to pay what people are asking for them. I've been thinking about getting a similar knife from another maker and was wondering about everyones experience. The 2 main knives I'm looking at are the Crawford Chisel Combat and the Lightfoot 458 Mag. Tanto. If RJ Martin would make a Tanto folder he would be the hands down winner based upon his Japanese fixed blade work I have seen and owned. Anyone that owns one of the knives I mentioned or knows of another good candidate, please let me know. BTW, I do know the good and bad of the chisel grind and don't intend to start that debate.
Thanks,
Lewis

Lewis: I just happen to be in the design stage of just such a knife. Blade length will be just shy of 4", and, without giving away the details of the handle, I will just tell you that it will combine materials never used together (to my knowledge) on a folder.
I am shooting for the New York Custom Knife Show for first availability of this blade.

Blade material will likely be CPM3V, as this stuff looks ideally suited for chisel ground blades. Tough and mean!

Stay Tuned!

RJ
