Its been a great year fishing so far, and I'm in the market for a top quality fillet knife/knivES. :D
All ears for suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

There's three things I like from Gerber, their USA made multitools, LMF II knife, and their Gator Grip Fillet Knives. I paid like $14 for my Gerber Gator fillet knife that has a ceramic sharpener built into the sheath. This is the best fillet knife I've ever used. It is made in Portugal and it's top quaity. It was razor sharp out of box as well!

Busse did make a fillet knife way back in the day, could start a death chant to get a re-release out of INFI :D

There were 4 sizes, I want to say 4, 6 and 8", and if I recall correctly they were in d2... it's been a while since they were sold, longer since the originals were produced...

Well Holy Smokes... thats EXACTLY what I NEED.
Anybody wanna part with one? Jerry? :D

Anyone know the thickness on that blade and what hardness? Is it flexy?? Looks a little stiff, is it?

A fillet in D2 would be very nice!

If you like the wiener dog, there is one for sale on ebay right now

FORBIDDEN AUCTION LINK REMOVED

It's kinda pricey imo though... good luck

WOW! At that price I wish I had bought 40 of them in the Ganzaaa and sold them.

FYI, you might want to edit that auction out of your post. It is not permitted here.

It would be cheaper and easier to buy a flat ground HG55 and have one of our friends around here grind it down to one cool fillet knife. Its kinda got that shape. $.02

I would love to find one of the D2 Busse fillets knives but my second choice would be the Bird Dog

I have always wondered if the Busse D2 Filet knives had the typical flex of that style.
