Anyone have a favorite choice of Internet sellers for fixed blades on the lower end of the price scale (10.00 or less) for knives such as bowies, hunting, and "tactical" like KaBar for example?

No offense intended but why bother? Anything you pick up for less than $10 will likely break as soon as you need it not to.

I can't believe I did that!!!!

Man, I mean $150.00

Long day today. Thanks for catching that.

Haha, no problemo. I was trying to figure out why a member here for more than a year and almost 200 posts would ask for a $10 fixed blade. :)

Knifeworks is a good site, the easiest to navigate IMO is knifecenter though.

Any models/brands in particular you're looking at?

Thanks. That 10.00 price shocked me too :)

Some brands include KaBar, Boker, Ontario, Kershaw, SOG

Looking for 6-8 inch bowie types, choppers, and the traditional "fighting" knife such as 2nd gen KaBar

Might also want to take a look at the ESEE (previously RAT) RC6 fits the price, has a kick butt warranty to boot, you break it, no matter how, you send them yours they send you a new one, no questions asked, except where to send it.

Becker too. I like knifecenter, knivesshipfree and new graham (admittedly they rarely have what I want in stock). Cutlery shoppe seems to be good too though can't remember what others' experience was with them. I've ordered from knifecenter and KSF, both being very good. New Graham I haven't ordered from, though I've emailed back a forth a little with them and they seem to be really good. Hope that helps.

Knifecenter is good - i live really close and go pick up my knives instead of having them shipped - good people. I've also ordered some stuff from bladehq - turned out fine.

kabar/becker bk2. got mine from tomar kabar for less than $60 plus shipping. it's made in the USA.
