So, I was thinking.
What do guys think is the best chopper ever (yet) produced by Jerry.
We have a few options.
1) BM strait handle
2) the heck with it, just look at the options, and let me know what y'all think,
also if there's any others (production that is) let us know.
I know there was an axe, but was it ever really in production? or was it just a very limited thing.
thanks.

I voted for the AB. I'm really just a mall ninja though, I haven't had any real chances to chop stuff up. I just think it would have the most chopping power. My second choice would be the basic because I like nice soft, comfy knives. :)

Voted for BME, the ergonomics are suppose to be better than the straight handle BM for chopping.

To reply to this I would have had to actually have chopped something with one.

Actually, my chopper is a Rat. :o

If ya' think about it.
It's kind of embarrasing how many us admit to not having chopped anything.
Too bad there's a HI forum here. :p

I put a vote in for the SHBM. It's a great chopper, and I have chopped with it. Definitely my favorite.

if ergo's are better then why aren't beer cans ergo?

AND just to head you off, how come you crush it in to an ergo after your done swilling it?

huh?

No choice for the Assault Shaker???

I'd put a nod in for the SHBM, though my personal choppers are Steel Hearts, so I picked "other" :p 5/16ths SHSH2 half moon pommel is a massive knife with lots of chopping power, right up there with the BMe, they weigh about the same :)

mmmmmmmmm, ergo beer cans! no more "beer can elbow"!!!

I voted "Other" because the MOAB was not listed. I only got to chop air with it before it went to live with its 3/8" brethern.
I've seen what it can do to a piglette.

I thought the MOAB was only offered as a custom shop special.
(That's what I'd expect considering the price)

I voted Basic 9 as it is the only one listed I have done any significant chopping with. I bet the AB would work quite well as would the rest of the serious answers, come on an SK chopping? We all know they are better used as splitting wedges anyway. :) My SH-E is an excellent chopper, but the Basic's handle is hard to beat for shock absorpsion.

Oh yeah, I would love to get some chopping time in with a MOAB, but I don't like my chances. :)

I'M CALLING THE ACLU! :footinmou basic members can't vote but if i could i'd vote for the bm-e.

remarkable power for a knife that weights very little in comparison to other big blades.

Such a good pic :) The MOAB tasted blood for the very first time at that exact table.....damn that was so funny :D

Oh, I'm supposed to read the title before posting, huh? :footinmou

You're correct Walking Man; it was/is a Custom Shop piece.
