So which Busse makes the best chopper? I would assume it would be the FFBM being that its got the mass to get the job done best. What is your guys experience?

I expect you'll get a lot of responses saying NMFBM. it's sort of popular at the moment.

Yeah, Ive got one, and it is impressive. I wouldd think something thicker would be more effective as a pure chopper though.

Thicker isn't always necessarily better. The key is balance. Forward balance blades make better choppers. The FFBM may be thicker and heavier but the NMFBM is more forward balanced because of the length. I still prefer the FBM as a general all around large chopper. It is more controllable for me and chops superbly well as it is.

I thought the NMFBM was a little heavier than the FFBM. Either way it still feels more limber though, so I give it the nod.

It would depend on you.

If you can say swing a CGFBM at 90 mph and smack a hunk of wood at that speed but can only move a FFBM or NMFBM at 45 mph.... well the lighter and smaller knife wil chop better for you. If you are slow like me the more mass the blade has the better.

I'll leave the details to Old Pig....

This is starting to sound like a 9mm vs. .45 debate.

Why not get the best of both worlds? :D

NMFBM! The CGs at least seem lighter than the FFBM, but more forward balanced, so they hit hard.

I always thought thinner = better chopper, assuming same speed and mass... Its tough to chop with a hammer...

I'm confident saying .40 is by far the best round and nmfbm LE is the king of all choppers. Please lock thread now that I've wayed in.

NMFBM, is my guess, but it all depends on who is swinging the knife.

I think that has alot to do with it. I really like certain knives to chop with while my bro likes others, it has to do with placement, follow through and wrist snap for me.

force = mass X speed so ideally youd want a nmfbm being swumg at 90mph:cool:

at this time all I hear are the wise words of Dr Lunde and Mr Lunde, Sr.

two of each!

minimum:):)

Ive got a .40 pistol and a NMFBM sitting right beside my bed at night. Im ready.....:D
