I've been carrying a Stretch combo for a while now. Great ergos and the flat grind makes it a slicing beast.
One review that I have seen quite a bit though is that the tip is very fragile. Has anyone noticed this?
Depends on how you define "fragile." It is thin and pointy so it penetrates well. I like that for most of my uses, including cleaning fish and game. I actually regrind some of my more blunt tipped spydies like the pacific salt to make them thinner and more useful (albeit less strong) If you drop the Millie on concrete or try to poke it through a car hood it will likely break. I've had zero issues with mine. Guess it will depend on your usage.
Don't get the wrong idea, it's still a piece of steel so it's not going to bend just from you looking at it wrong, but it's not something you would want to pry with. As long as you use it with a tiny bit of common sense you will never have an issue. My opinion anyway.![]()
