Best companion Becker knife for BK9

Just putting together a WildernessSurvival/bugout/bushcraft setup and am looking for a good companion Becker knife for the BK9

Any input will be appreciated!!

I would think that a lot of it depends on your needs.
11/14/24 (smaller option)
16 (mid sized) but I would suggest a 15 if you can still find one since it is going the way of the dodo...

If you want a knife that fits the stock sheath slot (inside the pouch) the Becker Remora is now made in the USA and is now 1095 cro-van.

You can also heat up a BK11 in a pot of boiling water and force that until the insert designed for the Remora and get a larger knife in there. Please note that this will not work with a BK11 that has scales attached.

Take a look at the BK14 and the scales you can get for it. Not too much you couldn't accomplish with the BK9/BK14 combo.
 
Just depends on what you like. I am a bigger knife type of guy so I would go with the 15 or 16 over one of the smaller beckers.
 
One of my favorites is the discontinued BK-15 or one with a similar profile such as made by Bark River.

Any one will do. Especially coupled with a SAK/multitool and your favorite folder(s)
 
If it has to be a Becker, I'd get the Becker necker.

Otherwise, Mora companion.

As mention in your other thread, BK15. It's probably the most versatile fixed knife I own.

A Mora would also work well.
 
I'm surprised to see so much love for the bk15, Its the only tweener I own but when I was looking for reviews on them all anyone could talk about was the 16
 
Bk15/16, tops BOB, benchmade Bushcrafter, bark river bravo 1lt, or gunny...so many possible options,

what do you want in it? Carbon steel that's easy to sharpen like 1095?, or a steel like 3v that holds a lot longer edge but harder sharpen? Or a Stainless steel like elmax, cpmS30v or S35vn?

PRICE A CONCERN????

Answers to that can quickly help eliminate knives and narrow it down.
