Which custom knifemaker makes a great looking straight razor that can be used on a daily basis ?

That is a very interesting question. I am not aware of any custom makers who regularly make straight or folding (safety) razors. I have seen some really nice Old production pieces selling for a around a hundred to a few hundred dollars. Look around for any older safety (folding) razor with pearl or ivory scales. Enjoy using that daily. If I didn't have a beard, I would have one of these. Check the selection at www.nwknives.com

Their catalog cover knives for December are to die for...

I'll check your suggestion out. I may also consider having a nice folding razor done with stainless Damascus and exotic wood scales....

I do. Have currently none in stock, but would be happy to make one for you, as dressy as you like.
I have a collector in NY that I made a couple of straigth razor for, one with a blade length of 8", this one weight a pound, but still fully functional.
