Noticed yesterday that one of the big box sporting stores had the Paradigm Avid on clearance. Usually this means they knocked $5 off the full MSRP but this time it actually put the price point at or below anything I could find online. Even though I have the Paradigm Pro I figured for the price why not? As I was walking up to the store a Boy Scout offering a discount cards for $5. Just so happens that the store is listed on the card for $10 off any purchase of $50 or more so I bought the card off the Scout.
Got to the knife counter and they had the display Paradigm and one other left. One was off center with kind of a funky grind. The other was great overall with just a little blade play. Figured a little adjustment on the pivot would remedy that so I chose it and off to the checkout I went. In addition to the discount card from the Boy Scout I also had three $25 gift cards for this store so when it was all said and done the Paradigm Avid cost me a whopping $3.14. Best deal I've got on a Buck so far.
