I've cleaned a couple with my busse knives. Cultilus was too small and BWM was too big. What's your faves? Gut skin and quarter

Of those that I own, I'd say the Mean Street Ergo, or the SOB would work just fine.

I haven't got to put it to use yet but of all the ones I have the Scrapmax 375 would be my first choice.

Drop point rodent trail. It's like a rodent solution but with a longer blade. I'd sure like to try a CABS someday, they look good for this.

HG-55 is my got to hunting knife. This combo is my go to for nearly everything actually.

I picked up a Scrapmax 375 solely for that purpose this year.

There was a variant of scrapmax with a drop point, is yours like that rcb? I always thought that one would be a great deer knife. I tried to grab one from dericdesmond after Blade once, but was late to the party.

That's a couple of nice tools right there. Always wanted one of those loggerheads

I'm about to blaspheme badly here. For most of my life I have simply used whatever EDC folder I carried at the time to field dress deer.
all of them have done fine. I now have many suitable Busses, but never seem to bother to strap on a small fixed blade to go hunting. I did wear a NOE Zero Tolerance for a larger knife. I have always liked a semi-skinner pattern knife, though, and, if I ever am able to deer hunt again, I will probably carry a Dozier General Purpose Hunter I bought specifically for this purpose.

The Active Duty (the thinner original custom shop model satin/snakeskin), which is a fantastic smaller knife and is my favorite Busse user for fishing and such, is a wonderful knife and I can't imagine it not being a fine tool on deer. The Elmax version should be superb.

Another vote on the Anorexic B4. The taller blade profile helps eliminate the "catch" which can be caused by the micro choil. I've tried the MS, LMS, AD, CABS, GW -- didn't get the same results. The other benefit of the B4 (anorexic) is the balance. I personally prefer a cleaning knife balanced just at the handle (mid-point). I find a lot of the smaller busses to be too "handle heavy", which is the nature of their design. It just doesn't "float" in the hand for me...but may be a personal preference for others. The Bog Dog is another badass contender (my secondary to the B4)! For reference, I do have a few non-busse with G10 handles (Gene Ingram)...but the handle stock is built much thinner and offer the balance I am talking about above.
