Which diamond compounds have you liked the most. I'm looking for users who've used the full range. I've only used Venev and many have only used Gunny Juice and insert "only used one here". But I'm looking for users who've used multiple brands and can say they like one of the other. Right now I'm looking at getting Stroppy Stuff, but it's expensive and I don't know if there's a real difference or they're all mostly the same. Brands I've seen but not contrasted are;
- Venev diamond stropping paste
- Gunny Juice
- Jende
- Stroppy Stuff
- Dia by DMT

Can anyone compare and contrast these or others?

I don't have a full answer to your question, but they are not all the same. I have tried a few different emulsions, and the Gunny Juice is significantly better than the others I have tried.

I recommend the diamond emulsion from NORTHWEST_KNIFE_GUY NORTHWEST_KNIFE_GUY . He's a member in good standing here, has gone the extra mile on behalf of other members and his products deliver.

Beyond that, I got nothing. I've only used a limited number of others.

I used his one micron diamond emulsion on my just out of the box Sebenza 31 the other day. Worked like a charm...as I knew it would.

I like Venev's stuff. I have the 1 micron from Stroppy Stuff and it's okay. I also have 1 micron from Chef Knives to Go (Richmond diamond spray) and it seems a bit less aggressive. I've used a bunch of the pastes from TechDiamondTools and I like them a lot. I've tried Gunny Juice 3 micron and .5 micron and I don't like them at all. They feel very gritty to me. In that regard I think I'm the distinct minority. Most of the sharpeners I know swear by Gunny Juice. 🤷‍♂️

Never actually used it but I've heard nothing but good about gunny juice. I think I have venev paste. It's all in Russian. It is a thicker paste where the gunny juice I think is more liquid n a little easier to apply to the strop?

N NeedItCheaper Can also depend on your requirements and budget. I have bought some from diamond/jewellers suppliers and had fantastic results with it. But my fantastic results may not be your results, i only need sharp working edges, but value for money i could not go wrong. But Gunny Juice and Don's products all get fantastic reviews here.
