So I'm looking for the last watch I will ever buy. I don't know what that watch is yet, that's why I posted this thread. It must:
Have a unidirectional diver's bezel, with 10 minute markings. Preferably with a lume dot at the top, not a must though.
Be tough and reliable. I beat on gear, and watches are no exception.
Be accurate. I am a bit obsessive about having exactly the right time.
Have a good lume. Doesn't have to be tritium, but it must be readable for a while after a 2 second charge from a 50 lumen light.
Have a date feature, preferably no day, and preferably at the 3 o' clock position
Be easy to read on the fly.
Have a stainless steel case.
Have a good band/ bracelet. Doesn't have to be steel, but it would be nice.
Be decently water resistant, at least enough to swim. Minimum of 50 yards.
Be as close to $100 as possible. Thanks in advance for all the help, and when I get the watch, there will definitely be pics.

For that price point it you may have to go with the Invicta brand. I think Seikos and other dive watches are usually are above $100.

Ive got a seiko auto...only thing I don't like is there are no numbers, just rectangular marks, but it's been great. Got her from feebay for around $50, so they are out there :D

Jealous... :D Yeah, I don't like the no numbers either, but I can deal with it.
BTW- nice try on the location, but there are no bushes near me :p

For the $$ you are wanting spend I would look at croton. The will stand behind their watches.
I dont really care for Invicta very over priced. Very poor CS.

Poor Man's Watch Forum mini-review of the black-face version:

It is a good mechanical watch but not as accurate as quartz. It has everything you are looking for except good lum.

Orient discontinued these, but they are still selling the blue-face model. If you watch the Flash video on their web page, they give you a promo code that cuts the price to $90.

I looked at that in your post, looks good, yes, about perfect, CRAP! Discontinued!

It could be discontinued, but I just ordered one! :)

Actually, I think it is discontinued because you have to search for it on Orient's web site. Model number 2ER00002D in their search box takes you to the product page for the blue-dial Snorkler. I ordered one 10 minutes ago. The Flash video on that page gives a promo code that drops the price to $90. The narrator is pretty annoying, but the promo code shows as soon as the video starts.

The black-dial Snorkler 2ER00001B reviewed on Poor Man's Watch Forum is out of stock. Too bad, that's the one I really wanted! :D

There used to be black-dial and blue-dial Snorklers with two-tone bracelets, and they are out of stock too. Orient sells a "Sapphire Snorkler" which must be the current model, because it's the only one you'll find on their site without running a search. It has the black dial I prefer and a sapphire crystal, but for $172.50 I would probably buy a Seiko.
