I'm trying to decide which Busse would serve me best for EDC duty. I'm partial to the Leaner/Meaner varieties, but I'm not opposed to Game Wardens, Active duties, etc. Thicker blade would be nice, but it's not a necessity. What do some of you carry as an EDC busse?

A busse folder would be ideal...... :D

Warden bro! You really don't need anything over 3'' for EDC purposes IMHO. Very handy around the house, and an absolute must for fishing trips. Just my 2cents!

I started carrying a SAR3 a couple of weeks ago.... I really like it!
I'm sure that's not much help,but that's all I got at the moment..lol

Been carrying an Active Duty for a couple weeks now and I like it a lot, gonna try out my new SAR3 as soon as I get some pants on it.

Been through them all a couple of times

My current favorite, Working Hog Cultellus (WHC)

I would wait for the next SAR3 to hit the company store. You will be getting a new knife and people having been raving about them as edc knives.

Skunk posted a pic of a DC black g-10 version the other day I dont know if that has hit yet.

A folder would be great. I think an active duty modeled folder would be sweet.

This is good advice. You can't beat $220 for a brand new Busse, and the SAR3's are a good design.

I love the handle on my BAD, though. Very comfortable. Wish it didn't have the unusable choil, though.

Thanks for all of the helpful suggestions guys, keep 'em coming! I'm probably going to have to handle more of them in person before I reach an actual verdict, but it sounds like the wardens and meaners are favorites.

I also EDC'ed a SS for a more than a year off and on (rotated the SS and the GW, both pumpkin).

The SS has a wide blade height for the size. I modded mine.

My point is that I had no trouble pocket carrying it with a leather sheath with metal gun holster clip on the back. Made the sheath longer to have the knife sit lower in the pocket.

On some days I edc'ed both the GW and the SS. Then I had a short fatter .22 GW and the much thinner, and longer bladed SS for slicing.

You'd have to consider what your EDC needs are first.

If your slicing up boxes, opening letters and preparing food, blades over .170 may not be a good choice.
