Best EDC for $100?

Hello, after years of carrying SAKs and Leathermens as my EDC, I have decided to add a folder to my EDC. My requirements are pretty simple, a 3-3.5 inch blade, strong lock, light weight, slim (I don't want to feel a big bulk in my pocket), and cost around $100. I think the mini ritter grip looks pretty good, but I would prefer better handle material like G 10. Any suggestions are welcome :)

Check out the Benchmade Model 720 or 722.

I carry a 722 daily and love it. They have Aluminum or G10 handles, are built like tanks and dissapear in your pocket.

The 720 is almost safe to pull out in front of anyone. The serrated 722, however, manages to make people gasp every so often.

It looks like 1sks.com still has some in stock even though they have been discontinued.

How about a BM 705? The blade is slightly on the small end (2.95) but it feels great, and cuts like a big guy!

a BM 806D2, if purcahsed from an individual wouldnt cost over $100, not much anyway, and its one of the best imho.

Good suggestion, but the blade is over 3.5 - illegal for concealed carry in some places. Example: Colorado. :[

This is like asking whose mother was the best...

All i can say is that I have been carrying an Emerson mini CQC7b and I am 100% satisified with it.

Depends on what kind of lock you want and how heavy you consider heavy but I will make some recommendations. All these are slim and light, I didn't mention linerlocks bc I don't generally like them, less reliable more likely to fail.

LOCKBACK:
Spyderco- Police (lot of knife for size over 4in blade)
Endura/Delica=bout 4in/just under 3in excellent slim, light and well under price point.
Native=great all around knife bout 3.5 in
Calaypso Jr.=full flat ground blade, excellent knife
Manix or Chinook II=different blade, similar handle, simply awesome.

Could also check out Cold Steel's Voyager series or Boker's HK P2000 if you prefer thumbsuds, but the Spyders are better.

AXIS LOCK
Benchmade=710HS or 806D2, can't go wrong with either I'm not much on Benchmades, nothing personal, but I have to admit these are without a doubt 2 of the BEST folders on the market period.

Also the Griptillians are good for the money.

FRAME LOCK(also compression lock) all but the edc are expensive :(
Camillus EDC=great for the money, and CUDA Dominator=phenomenal
Strider SnG
Chris Reeve sebenza, small or large
Spyderco ATR (compression frame lock)

The BM 551 is in my pocket right now, but I have heard an extensive amount of praise for the BM 710 and the AFCK (806), but what about the Ares (732)?? I'm thinkin about gettin that next  , but the Manix looks cool, sharp, and solid as well, so...

The Spyderco Manix is IMO the best blade that came out in the folder category this year (no offense ment for the other brand lovers), but because it is an almost bombproof heavy duty folder it has some weight and bulk. I don't think that it really makes a difference but there are people who like smaller lighter blades. If u are looking for a knife that will do 99% of the things u want to do with a folder go for the Manix. If u are used to a lightweight sleek little SAK tools u might consider other Spyderco's like the delica or endura in frn. Also a good subtle knife is the Benchmade mini griptilian. Greetz

thanks for all your suggestions. This is a newbie question, but what is the difference between a VG-10 and CPM S30V blade?

Buck 560 with a BG42 blade upgrade, most bang for your buck :D Then you have Buck's great customer service forever.
