Looking for a new EDC knife and want to get the best bang for the buck. Help my out with what yall think is the best EDC for around 50 to 75 dollars. Pocket Clip and assissted opening would be nice.

I don't know if there are still some available, but the spyderco endura "wave" is almost perfect for edc. The only way it would be better is for it to have stainless, aircraft aluminum or Ti handles.

In that pice range and with assisted opening and better ATS34 blade steel, I'd recommend the Buck Tempest - model 296-GY at around $60 on eBay.

I love this knife...

Once upon a time I would have said the Benchmade 551 Griptilian, but now I say the Spyderco Salt I, the Atlantic Salt, or the Pacific Salt.

Good luck,
Allen.

cold steel night force. i clean fish, chop off thumb size tree limbs, slice cardboard, it is the every thing knife. holds edge well and resharpens fairly quick. about $55.

I love my Salt 1 but a Calypso Jr. is a great choice also and for $65 and some change you can have the new ZDP189 steel in one so I'd sure recommend looking at that one.

I've got several, more expensive knives but the Caly Jr. is the one I keep grabbing off the dresser for edc.

Cabelas D2 mini-Griptilian or Spyderco ZDP-189 Calypso Jr. Of course, with either one you will need diamond stones.

The new ZDP-189 Calypso Jr. If you want a pure cutting instrument, this is as pure as it gets.

Spyderco Delica FRN AUS-8: not at work (it's illegal here in Denmark, so I can't bring it :( )

Leatherman Charge Ti: at work, if I expect a day which involves the need for tools.

Leatherman Squirt P4: at work, if I expect a day which doesn't involve the need for tools.

I highly recommend all above - it's only a question of preference.
