Almost everybody is going to say something different, but what do you guys and gals think is the best knife for EDC? Either fixed or folding, also what knife is your current EDC and what is your favorite knife you own. The EDC task for the knife will be cutting cord, cutting coardboard boxes, maybe a little wood, zip ties, etc. so light to medium task. My personal opinion for the best is probably the spyderco endura 4 with FFG, is light, great steel, and good price. My current favorite knife I own is my ZT 0200. I like heavier knives and I love the 3D g10, thick liners, and long 154cm blade. :)

Best EDC? That covers a lot of ground and a lot of personal likes and dislikes. For me the Benchmade Mini Grips (556 and 555), Opinel # 6 and #8, Case Trapers. Spyderco Delica and Endura are great also.

Favorite EDC- Benchmade griptilian s30v. Favorite knife- way to broad of a question. If I had all my knives in front of me and some one said pick the last knife you'll ever have... I'd go with my Fiddleback Hunter.

The ones I carry are made by Alan Davis. I have 3 folders that I carry from him. I dont carry a production much any more since I have him make me one the way I want it. If I do carry a production it would be either a Benchmade 940 or a Spyderco Para Millie 2 with CTS 20CP steel. I really enjoy Alan's knives! I also have a small pocket size fixed blade made by him. I have never carried a fixed blade before but he made me one the way I wanted it and it is AWESOME! Thanks! Kevin :D

Depends. For a smaller blade folder: Mini-Grip. For something with tools, any small SAK.

Seems to me most carry far larger knives for EDC than I would.

Hiking or Woods knife is a different set of needs. For me: Fallkniven F1

Man, his knives are amazing. From what I was looking at they aren't that exspensive. I saw a really nice d2 folder with g10 scales for less than 150$.

My favorite so far is my benchmade 586 mini barrage but it's also my newest. We'll see how long that lasts.

For what you listed, this. I have many many knives of many styles and this one finds its way into my pocket quit often.

For most people, I recommend the Kershaw leek but sounds like you need something with a not-quite-so-dainty tip.

Only one? ZT 0561, Benchmade 940 with slacks, Hinderer XM24 when custom carry is needed and KA-BAR Dozier folding hunter for a beater. Actually, basically whatever is in your pocket at the time.

The three that probably get the most pocket time are the Benchmade 710 in M390, Spyderco Para 2 in CTS-XHP and, in environments that might prove less knife-friendly, the G Sakai Fieldman Trekking Tool in ZDP-189 (if you're into SAK style knives you should check this one out).

For me its either a bench made 550 ( currently) or a Tenacious, for the price it cant be beat IMHO

for fixed blades its generally a Kershaw skyline or 1 of the 2 knives i made for fixed EDCing

My first double tap!

That GEC 33 usually gets the job done but the M43 is there if needed.
