Hi everyone, ive been browsing the forum for quite a long time looking at everyone favorite edc..

Im not sure of what i should buy, i want something that look good and have a relativly long blade, min 3.8 inches...

I really like the camillus cuba maxx 2 but at 150 USD for me its like 300 canadian dollars so.. i cant afford it...

Any one would have a suggestion?

I need something that look great :)

Welcome to the forums!

If you want to find a good knife, check the for sale forum. You can find very good deals.

It would help if you told us what "type" of knife you want.

Also, you can't go wrong with a Benchmade Griptillian :D

A fellow Canadian eh? Where do you live?
If you live somewhere near Vancouver, you could always go to 3 vets to look for some cheap Spydercos. Taiga Works also some good Spydercos that would fit your requirements, but they mainly sell serrated knives, but they might be changing.
If you're at somewhere else, you can always look at Le Baron and find some cheaper than retail knives. I bought my FRN Endura in 50/50 and definately love it. I wish they have completely plain edge though.
100 bucks max in Canadian or American?

Another Canuck!:D
Welcome to the forums!
What type of blade do you want? I.e. what do you want to use it for?
Rob

I also suggest the Spyderco Endura. It's a very good folder, for way under $100 (at least here in the USA).

Ditto the soldier...Griptilian's a good one (does depend on what you want it for, though).

I'd choose a Spyderco Military PE - great knife for EDC!
Yup. You can find it under 100 US at some places.

I don't know if it's the best, but I've been carrying my Benchmade TSEK AXIS almost non-stop for the past month, this knife is threatening to put my other knives out of business.

Fantastic for $87.50 at www.newgraham.com :)

well i was mostly looking for a blade to slice and cut :)

Mostly for everyday carry, i use to cut a lot of stuff may it be food or boxes....

the 100 dollard was in USD but thats still a lot for me :)

Gryptillian look nice, so does the TSEK

Anyone something in mind with a crazy long blade :) ?

Find yourself a Benchmade 750 Pinnacle. They are out of production but you can find one on Ebay or the For Sale forums here. You will not be sorry.Poor mans Sebenza. My.02

Just about anything CRKT will range from 40 bucks to a about 160 Canadain. That is therr avg price range.

Most of there more popular knives such as the Crawford Kasper and the proffessional are great choices.

The only problem is the steel ( 440a)

But theres a thumbhole, pocket clip, its a 4inch blade and well i like the look, especially for the price.

Still wondering about the Vaquero Grande, that thing is scary as hell
( how would i sharpen it, would i have to etc, ? )

I almost know nothing about serrated blades

I just recently handled those Cold Steel folders at the knife store and I'd have to say that while they seem to have a solid lock up and I do like the blade shape, I just had too much trouble opening them. First of all the ones I handled just weren't too smooth at the pivot and something in the design makes it a bit difficult to open.

i'd put in a vote for a griptilian or the tsek, you can't go wrong with axis lock and you can't go wrong with BM. if you want cheaper then that you can try the BM ascent. or a spyderco endura, delica, etc. but you said you didn't want lockback. for around the 120 range you can find most of the Benchmade knives, the osbourne is nice, the pinnacle like someone said is a pretty hefty sized knife. but the best big knife out there? balisongs BM 4x
