Hi Guys,
Did the math and seem to need a 15 - 21 amp elec heater to hang from the rafters in the shed we built.
Who makes a really good 220 heater?
Thanks,
Jon

You can't go wrong with the power of Kerosene to warm your shop. Kerosene: heating fuel of the Gods!

Several Good makers. A simple google search will find them. What catches my eye is your math. Amps x volts = watts. In your case 21a x 220v = 4620w. I think that you won't be happy trying to heat over 1700 sq/ft with a 4500 watt heater. Just saying.
There are many web sites that will calculate your needs by entering cubic feet, how well you are insulated, and what part of the country you live in.
I'll bet in N.Y. you will be in the 15kw range (I'm guessing here). 15000w / 220v = 68 amps
The prices on those heaters will make you pucker.

They have 220 V construction heaters at Homedepot and other lumber stores. A better solution would be a small wood stove.

IMO, if you can manage the insurance premiums, a small woodstove is the best route... unless you plan to do woodwork that kicks up a lot of dust.... BOOM!
I use one of those electric oil-filled heaters in my completely insulated, 200sq/ft shop and it never stops working through the winter.$$$

Thanks,
The 1750 is in cu ft and I did go online and used the calculator and answered their questions and it came out between 15 a 21 amps. The 220 was my bad, not part of the math at all.

Righto. I didn't take time to notice the cubic feet in your title.
