Best Emerson for 1st purchase?

I'm planning to purchase my first Emerson knife in the near future and would appreciate any feedback on which to purchase first, especially of the following: HD-7 Combo-BT, Specwar A, CSC-12 Combo-BTS. Thanks.

I have the HD-7. I am very pleased with it and highly recommend it. To purchase it, I sold my CQC-10. I miss that knife. It is my favorite "entry-level" model.

You can't go wrong with the HD-7 or the CQC-12. The 12 is a little larger and you might find the HD-7 is easier to carry in the pocket.

I am not sure you can go wrong with any Emerson you choose because most likely it will not be your last.

i would say '12, '13 or '8 depending on what ya wanna spend, the HD7 is ok too.
 
I've only one item to throw into the mix -and that is the need for carrying in an area that does not permit blades more than 3 inches... If you are limited - the mini-cqc A is darn nice for a first Emerson! :D
