I have absurdly bad spinal issues and am looking for a desk, workbench (SMALL !), or similar to use when sharpening with my TSPROF.
I can't stand for a long time, as a teacher I do that all day (my school campus is hug . I walk 5× as much as a waiter in a restaurant) and need a break when I get home.

I am looking for an off the shelf solution, I don't want to and can't build something for myself.

I have had spinal fusion and leaning over my sharpener for an hour + by the time I calibrate and sharpen causes extra pain for a day or two.

I need something with major back support, wide enough top surface for the sharpener, and ideally some drawers, cabinets with shelving or similar.

Any ready made stuff you have seen? If any of you are craftsman working out of northern NJ let me know ballpark estimate what you think a custom built setup would run. Again I do NOT want to stand up, so we're talking best chair as much as best desktop.

I haven't had much luck finding even good desk chairs under $200, and for sharpening you need some extra support because you are leaning over your rig a bit, not just doing paperwork.

Thanks for any ideas or suggestions. I am in a world of hurt today.

I got a high swivel chair at walmart for $50. My back is messed up too. Sitting on a higher chair, bar stool like, takes pressure off of the lower spine and enables you to change positions easier with your feet off the ground. I use a high bench also so I don't have to bend much at all, sitting or standing, to use it. The vast majority of my sharpening is with power tools so I can do it much quicker. The results are just as good or better than using stones but it takes a good amount of practice. Walking is good, bending is bad. Overall the key is to alter your sharpening techniques and environs to meet your physical needs. The more you can do this the less pain you'll deal with.

Look for a used office furniture store in your area. Used office desks are generally very inexpensive. Then, find an adjustable chair that fits your needs.
