Best ever UPS delivery

I talked to Ernie Emerson at this year's Bladeshow about a couple of custom knives that I had ordered 12 & 11 years ago. Ernie told me at Blade that me had been working on both knives and that I would have them soon. This was great news and last week I got "the Call" from Emerson Knives.

Today UPS made a delivery!

I would have been thrilled to receive 1 knife but getting both is really something. Both the ES1M & Rhino have Titanium liners and G10 scales.

That grind is amazing. Why don't all EKI's come with that type of grind? Just the very edge of my Mini-7 is sharpened..... :(

those are two way awesome knives, love the grind lines and satin finish, that is the first time that i have seen serations just like that.
 
Wow, that's one combo edge I could live with. The benefits of serations, without shortening the standard cutting edge.
 
Both of those knives are awesome! I am particularly intrigued by that Rhino! How the hell were you able to wait 11 years for those knives to arrive at your door?! There is no way I could stand to wait even half that long for a knife to arrive. If a knife maker told me it would take that long I wouldn't bother to place the order in the first place. The only way I would do something like that is if the knife was well beyond anything else I could get. So far I haven't found a knife that I would bother to wait that long for.

Congrats on having the patients to be able to place an order that far in the future. Both of those knifes are rad!
