I've only owned a District 9 and was quite impressed but it was just too damn big. Thinking about getting back into the Reate game. Let's hear some thoughts.

How many Reate threads do you need to create?

On the topic, I have only one Reate and it is Horizon D cf. It is a big knife but the quality is top notch.

i currently have a horizon-D with carbon fiber show side. i love it, but its kinda big also.

My only Reate is the Liong Mah Ace. Everything about it is great except it's another darn high quality Ti framelock flipper. Somehow that has become incredibly boring.

Best Reate? I have never owned one but if I was going to buy one it would have to be the Steelcraft Begg Kwaiken. That thing is on my must have list.

Never owned one, but really interested in them. Heard nothing but great thing about Reate. Anyone own the Epoch? Any good or bad words on that model?

I didn't like the District 9 in part because of heft but also the ergos don't work for me. My favorites are the Horizon D and the Wave. Best value is the Hills. Wave is on sale now at knifecenter.

I have owned/own/borrowed:

Horizon A
Horizon C
Horizon D
Epoch
Wave
The Future
Hills
District 9 (versions 1 and 3)
Valkyrie - Ti Version
K-1 (on loan for a week)
Fallout 2.0 (on loan for a week)

Liong Mah:
Warrior 1 - CF version
Warrior 2 - Ti version
Endeavour
Tempest - Ti version
Tempest Carbon Fiber (On loan for a few weeks)
Remedy (On loan for a week)
SDC

My favorite Reate Model was the Valkyrie, and my favorite Liong Mah is the warrior 2. In all honesty, they are all excellent. Really comes down to your size preference and aesthetic appeal.

i like that Valkyrie, but dont see why its so damn much lol. id have one but i cant find them at all for the price i want to pay for them. not too terribly upset because im not a huge fan of the blade style.

i think the OP would really like the Liong Mah as the sizes are not as large.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the torrent. it's beautiful. i think my next knife will be the Horizon D in CF.

I have the Hills, Liong Mah Warrior 1 V1, and a D9 Plus. The Warrior 1 is fantastic. It's hard to beat the Hills though for the price. The flipping action is superb.
