i like the looks of all the fiddlebacks

any particular model recommended for skinning? Looks like the bushcrafter might work well or even the new recluse? thoughts from anyone.

I can't speak from experience what would be the absolute best in Andy's lineup since I haven't used all of them. However I can say that I just received my first Fiddleback and it is the Hunter model. I specifically got it because I plan to use it on my whitetail hunts. It's a very nice knife for sure! It's solid and hefty, but not heavy, not overkill like some other knives I have had. The blade is a slight drop point and has plenty of belly, great for skinning and field dressing. I am extremely happy with it. From one hunter to another, I'd recommend this one for sure.

Just my two cents. How does everyone else feel?

I have a bias. :)

In truth, more deer have probably been dressed out by a mix of pocket knives and/or old style butcher knives than any other.

If it is a fresh kill, skinning is really pulling the skin off, snipping bits of connective tissue.

Have fun
