Congratulations to Pete Crowl on his "Best Hand Forged" award, (which I won last year!) and this year I kept with tradition and won the "Best Fixed Blade" award with the one below.
However, Pete out-sold me by a looooooooooooong shot.
Good job, Pete.

Karl, that blade is awesome! If I'm not mistaken, I see 'O1' stamped on the blade. Great steel to compliment a great knife  :D

Your blades you brought to the show were great (especially the one that won). It was great sitting next to you, and letting me pick your brain. Good tip on the guard fit up.... I am going to borrow that on my next knife. See you next year at the show!

Congratulations Peter!! Way to go

Congrats to you also Karl, Good work!!

I haven't seen the other knives that were up for this award, but I would be willing to bet that your award was well deserved. Congratulations.

COngrats Karl, that one is an absolute beauty --- love the dark fittings...

Congratulations to you as well Karl. That is truly a beautiful knife. As for out selling you I'm not sure, but I did do very well.

I'll say congratulations again, Karl! Kathy and I really enjoyed talking with you, and I wish I could have boosted your sales by a piece or two. Your stuff was already on my short list, and after seeing it up close and meeting you, it's climbed quite a few slots.

It was great sitting next to you,... See you next year at the show!

Bob if you were sitting next to Karl, I'm sorry I didn't speak with you. I just checked out your website and was pleased to see your scottish stuff. I also really like the look of your drop points.

Congratulations, Karl, on your well deserved award. I, too, want to thank you for the time you generously spent describing and showing me your "take down" technique. I got to hold this beauty at the show and loved the unusual wood grain on this handle.
