Best folder for $200 for "all around" use?

OK, so I know this sounds ridiculous and is a noob question. I have various knives for various functions, and this is not for me.

A female relative asked me for a recommendation for "a very nice folding knife in the $200 range" for her husband. I asked what he will use it for (EDC, camping/survival, etc.) and she didn't really have an answer and basically said "all around use". She was sure about the folding part and doesn't want a fixed blade (why I don't know). She didn't specify size.

What should I tell her? I've never spent anywhere near $200 on a folder. Recommendations?

Thanks in advance for the help!

The Hogue is a nice knife. Spyderco Sage would probably be a safe bet also, especially the titanium handled one.

ZT 0551, or if you can wait, the ZT 0560. Excellent knife for EDC and general use.

Hogue Ex01 is a nice blade, just got one and haven't been able to put it down yet.

Any Spyderco in the 100-200 range, Just so much knife for the money. I would say a millie2, others.... lionsteel SR1 in aluminum is a lot of knife for that ($200) and any of the ZT's in that range as well. Can't go wrong with any of them.

I am going to go with the Spyderco military or paramilitary in this situation. If we don't know what it is going to be used for, then I think the military or PM will be the best compromise between a heavy duty knife like the ZT 0200 and a super slicer. they are a good price, have good reviews, and come with good steel.

+1, I wholeheartedly agree.

I find my 710 to be best for all around use. Knifeworks has a collaboration with M390 steel which is superb. It's on their home page.

Was just about to mention that one as well. If I hadn't just bought a s90v para 2, I'd have bought that one or a Gayle Bradley.

Manix 2 (Stag Arms has theirs at $99 for the weekend I think)
PPT
Gayle Bradley
Paramilitary 2
Sage 2

Speedform II
Blur S30V
JYDII CB
Turbulence

ZT0200 (might be too big though)
ZT0350 (I don't like the grip too much, but a lot of people love it)

Hogue EX01 (3.5" or 4", you can't go wrong)

I have no extensive first-hand experience with Benchmades or Emersons, but there are a few of them that I am really interested in. They're on the big side though, and might not be practical for an EDC (Super Commander - this one is overbudget, 740 Dejavoo).

Depending on size I would recommend either an Emerson Commander or Mini, G10/S30V Spyderco Manix or maybe a 0350CB, all easily found on eBay or one of the better mail order sites for well under $200

I own or have owned most of he knives mentioned. The Spyderco Paramilitary 2 is what I would recomend. It does every thing you should do with a knife very well. It's solid and slices extremely good as well as being light weight.

The AFCK or 710 in M390 would get my vote. Great steel, both are built to handle heavy use/light abuse, decent slicers, and a good large blade that still carries very well. I love the Military and Paramilitary 2, but if you're bot sure what he's going to use them for I hesitate to recommend the fine points and ffg on those two knives.
