I have a 125OT, but was wondering if you guys have had good experience dressing game (fowl, rabbit, to deer) with any other folding models?

I don't yet have a 125OT (or any of the folding hunters), but it would seem that those blades would be good for skinning and dressing large game. And maybe small game. I've done the chore with both larger and smaller blades, so really most of it is in the hunter's technique anyway. Those knives were designed for the chore, so I'd say they are likely quite suitable. I'm sure a member who does have and use the pattern often for field chores will drop in soon.

Thanks Codger.

I'm also taking your advice and keeping my eye out for the right 152OT and 165OT. Then my collection will be complete - right....

A 125ot will take on the job without any trouble! I like to use 158ot and a lb7!
Thanks w5rwu

muskrats are good for small game, andfoldinhg hunters are better for larger game. Trappers are good too :D

I have a Heritage series trapper from the 80's, model 2941 that is a fine hunting knife. The shield has fallen off been lost many years, but still one my favorite's when hunting deer or turkey.

Is your 2941 a 3 7/8 model or a 4 1/4 model?

It is the 3 7/8 inch model with red bone handles. It takes a great edge and holds it very well. I really like the steel in this one.
