I have been searching for the "perfect" cordura folder sheath for quite a while now. It needs to fit at least 1-1/2" belts for both vertical and horizontal carry. It must be wide enough to fit a full-sized folder. It should be as slim and inobvious as possible. And it needs to hold up under extended carry without showing the wear. I'm not asking much, am I?
I think I have carried just about every type available including:
Out of all those I have ended up with two that work best for me.
For most of my folders and multi-tools I use the Triple Aught Design Gear Extreme Duty Folder Sheath (S1).
For thicker multi-tools and SAKs I use the Eagle Industries Folding Knife Sheath (KS-F). The Blackhawk is very similar and nearly as good, but I prefer the design of the Eagle.
So what are your preferences in folder sheaths? Do you like leather, cordura, kydex, or other? Do you wear them vertically, horizontally, IWB, or somewhere else? What are your favorite brands and models?
I'm always interested in learning about new options. Buying new knife accessories is almost as much fun as buying new knives.
