I'm looking for nice folder under 50$.
I want it to have a thumb stud and kind of AXIS lock.
I've found srm 9211 folder and it seems really nice.
Also there is a SOG terminus XR, but it costs about 54$.
Do you have one of these and can tell something about it (what is good and bad in this knife)? Or maybe you can recomand some knives?

Terminum XR is okay. If you never handled a higher-end benchmade or hogue, you'll think it's fine (since you wont know any better, no offense).

The only other one I can think of are those cheap gerbers, like the Sumo, but you want it to not go dull quickly? That thing is 7cr...and I think "dulling quickly" is a relative term. Do you think swiss army knives dull quickly? If not, then you'll be okay with a cheap gerber.

There are generic chinese knockoff brands like Ganzo, which I dont recomend you buy because well, they're knockoffs.

I like the Gerber Gators. It's a lot of knife for the price. But it does not have a thumb stud or Axis lock. If you want a tactical knife this is not it, but it is a great utility knife for the money.

If you want to spend under $50, and you want an AXIS lock, then you'll have to settle for "lesser" steel, or knock-off made in China.

If you want decent steels, then you'll have to settle for liner or frame lock.

That just's how money and quality works.

SRM (Sanrenmu) quality is fine for the money but they are made in china knockoff, and no one like knock offs

Take a look at the PF858 from Petrified fish...
(Yeah: that's the name...)
for $27 or so: it's a lot of bang for the buck!

What about kizer vanguard Domin? Is it worth buying?
That is something that only an interested person can decide...
If you like the size, action, blade and scale materials; and hear nothing wonky about in from anyone: it's worth a closer look.

This is, sadly, pretty accurate.
The Terminus XR is in your price range, but is 3" not 3.5"

If you want 3.5" blade, a similar lock, and something that's not a knockoff, try the CJRB Kicker. The Recoil Lock is actuated similarly to the Axis-style lock, but is mounted at the top of the handle.
D2 steel, made by Artisan Cutlery (one of the better Chinese manufacturers, CJRB is their budget brand), $47ish.

You can actually get some pretty good knives right now for under 50$ though requiring an axis lock is what is going to kill it. I could maybe see a situation where there is a severely used old griptilian being sold second hand that would drop that low but other than that, you are going to fall quickly into the clones and chinese rip off "companies" known for stealing IP.

If you don't mind liner locks or backlocks your options open up significantly.

Kalashnikov is a great one if you don't mind an auto. Shoots out strong and locks up well

I haven't seen a Domin in person, but I've had generally good experience with Kizer and I like VG10, especially in the low end price range. I have a Kizer Sovereign in VG10 that is one of my favorite knives, even though it's a budget knife, and I have a lot of knives that cost much more. Spyderco and Ontario make really good budget knives. Examples include the Spyderco Tenacious, Ontario Rat 1 and Rat 2... but there are more. I like the Ontario Utilitacs, too.

I have seen some ontario and spydreco knives, but I don't like like blade shape and overall shape. I'm looking for simple look kinfe with tumb stud, not auto or assisted.

That SOG is about as coose as it gets for a name brand knife with that sort of lock.

I understand completely! I used to think the Rat 1 was an ugly knife. Then I got one, and used and carried it for a couple of years. I used it for everything from EDC to camping and backpacking, to cutting PVC pipe during a plumbing emergency away from home. After all that, now it has a beauty to me, all its own. :)

I agree with you, in that I don't care for assisted opening. Spyderco and Ontario are not assisted, generally speaking. Kershaw seems to be the AO "leader".

My advice, avoid the srm 9211.

I own a few Kizer blades, they are good value for the money. I own a Begleiter which is similar to the Domain and it is a nice knife.

Also, look at Bestech knives.
